Scripture Reference: Isaiah 53: 5: NIV “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”
Food for Thought: One Theologian states, “How could an Old Testament person understand the idea of Christ dying for our sins (our transgressions and iniquities)–actually bearing the punishment that we deserved? The sacrifices suggested this idea, but it is one thing to kill a lamb, and something quite different to think of God’s chosen servant as that Lamb. But God was pulling aside the curtain of time to let people of Isaiah’s day look ahead to the suffering of the future Messiah and the resulting forgiveness made available to all mankind.” By the mere fact that the prophet said, “By His wounds we are healed,” We stand today in recognition as to what took place in the suffering of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ over two thousand years ago. We can be forgiven of our sins no matter how terrible they are, and then be healed of all of our diseases by those same wounds. For He is the Lord that forgives all sins and heals all sicknesses and diseases.
Matthew 8: 16; NIV “When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Him, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.” If you are in sin today, confess to God your sins and He will forgive you of them. You may even think that you are the greatest sinner in the entire world and feels that you are too far gone for God to forgive you. You are so wrong in your thinking! Jesus came to save not to condemn. If you are sick today or have some terrible and incurable disease, I tell you that Jesus’ body was broken for your healing. God still works miracles today! Why don’t you give God a chance to work in your life-if you’ve tried everything else and nothing worked-try God. You don’t have anything to lose! The woman that had the issue of blood for twelve long years and had spent all of her money on doctors but couldn’t get well, came to Jesus and simply touched the hem of His garment by faith and got exactly what she came to Him for. She got her miracle immediately, and was also forgiven of her sins and became a daughter of the Most High God at the self same time.
If you are not saved and you are reading this message-confess your sin to Him now because without a doubt God is willing save, heal, deliver and to set free all who calls on Him. Don’t delay–do it now and you will be glad you did! God richest blessings be upon you is my prayer for you. Share this message with someone you know who might need it. Not a sermon just a thought.
